Stephen Ross “Steve” Wilson, 69, of Ashburn passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

Steve was born on February 16, 1953 in Macon to the late Carl T. Wilson and Mary Wilson King. He was a Deacon and Sunday School teacher and faithful member of Sycamore Baptist Church. He was a lifelong farmer beginning as a young boy where he spent his summers in North Carolina farming with his uncles and cousins. He then established his own farm here in Georgia. He enjoyed spending time with family and loved to hunt, fish and visit the mountains. Steve enjoyed visiting with friends and family and witnessed to everyone he talked with.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Wilson of Ashburn; daughter, Kim Wilson (Lee Busbee) Smith of Ashburn; son, Travis Wilson of Ashburn; brother, David Wilson of Atlanta; step-sisters, Jan (Steve) Goen of Forsyth and Carolyn King of Forsyth; step-brother, Joe (Missy) King of South Carolina; grandchildren, Jennie Wilson and Rhett Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Sycamore Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Perry Funeral Chapel.
