GIBSONVILLE - Virginia “Ginny” Whitesell Gerringer, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 21, 2018.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Friedens Lutheran Church and the burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45-1:45 pm prior to the service at the church.

Obituary for Virginia "Ginny" Whitesell Gerringer
Gibsonville-Virginia “Ginny” Whitesell Gerringer, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 21, 2018. She was a native of Guilfford County and the wife of the late Edsell “Doc” Bryant Gerringer who died in 2004. She was the daughter of the late Albert Thomas Whitesell and Connie Barbee Whitesell.
Ginny was a homemaker and longtime member of Friedens Lutheran Church. She served in the nursery at her church for many years and was also a greeter. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her God Son-Charles “Chuck” Cash, Jr. and his wife, Michele of Gibsonville and God Daughter, Cindy Hunley and husband, Kevin of Gibsonville; grandson, Michael Cash and wife, Taylor of Gibsonville; special caregiver, Anna Bell S. Cash of Gibsonville and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sister, Betty Peele.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 2:00pm at Friedens Lutheran Church and the burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45-1:45pm prior to the service at the church.
