Mary Louise (Lou) Somers Pardue
BURLINGTON - Mrs. Mary Louise (Lou) Somers Pardue, 93, of Burlington, died peacefully Thursday, December 22, 2016 at her home with her family.
A native of Burlington, Mrs. Pardue was the wife of D. Earl Pardue for 54 years before his death.
She was the daughter of the late C.G. Somers and the late Lillie Miller Somers.
Mrs. Pardue was a lifelong resident of Burlington.
She attended Broad Street High School and Greensboro College, where she graduated in 1945.
She was devoted to her faith and took joy in God, her church, family, friends and the community.
Remembering her unconditional love and support, her family will lovingly cherish her memory and keep her in their hearts.
Mrs. Pardue is survived by her five children, David Pardue (Becky) of Hilton Head, SC, Luanne (Lupy) Pardue of Richmond, VA, Claude Pardue (Pam) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Blake Pardue and Joe Pardue (Margaret), all of Burlington; eight grandchildren, Dave Pardue (Daria), Courtnay Pardue Arpano (Matt), Elizabeth Pardue-Schultz (Greg), Claude Pardue, Jr., Diane Pardue Prosser (Jeremy), Margaret Pardue, Alex Pardue and Amelia Pardue; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Hilda Somers Ewing and Kathryn Somers Moore.
A private burial will take place in Pine Hill Cemetery.
