Shirley Ann Mansfield Monroe, 81, of Mocksville, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.
Born in Alamance County, NC on August 9, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Kalsie Mansfield and Beulah Porter Mansfield.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Bobby Ray Monroe, Sr. in 1992, and one sister, Brenda Flood.
Through the years, Shirley worked in the school system and managed FamilyDollar stores, but her greatest achievement in life was being a loving mother and grandmother.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, CorenaMonroe, John Stinson, Tammy Teeple (Mike), Bobby Monroe, Jr. (Sharon), Danny Monroe (Jeannette) and LindaWike (Darren); sixteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
Her brother, MelvinMansfield and sister, Peggy Moore, further survive her.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 9:00AM– 10:00AMat Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home.
The funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM in the Northcrest Chapel of the funeral home, with burial to follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation PO Box 676910 Dallas, TX 75267-6910.
