Mr. Russell F. Busick
BROWNS SUMMIT — Mr. Russell F. Busick, 81, of 6021 Osceola-Ossipee Road, died
at 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000, at his home.
A native of Guilford County, he was the husband of Mrs. Vernie Loman Busick, who
survives, and the son of Mr. William Stiner Busick and Mrs. Emerline Pritchett Busick,
both deceased. He was a retired tobacco and strawberry farmer. He was a member of
Apples Chapel Christian Church and was a member of the N.C. Farm Bureau.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include three daughters, Mrs. Cabell (Trudy
Busick) Early Jr. of Gibsonville, and Mrs. Jimmy (Mickey Busick) Sloan and Mrs.
Kenneth (Renee Busick) Troxler, both of Browns Summit; two sisters, Mrs. Opal
Westbrook of Browns Summit and Mrs. Margaret Nursery of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and
five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Anne Conklin; and four brothers, Mr. Sanford
Busick, Mr. Cecil Busick, Mr. Frank Busick and Mr. Dan Busick.
The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday at Apples Chapel Christian Church by the
Rev. Allen Myers. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
A reception of family and friends will take place at the church following the service.
Memorials may be made to Hospice at Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, N.C.
