Mrs. Vernie Loman Busick

BROWNS SUMMIT - Mrs. Vernie Loman Busick, 91, passed away Monday afternoon, July 14, 2014, at Moses Cone Hospital.
A native of Guilford County, she was a former employee of Glen Raven Mills and a homemaker. Mrs. Busick was a member of Apple's Chapel Christian Church. She enjoyed gathering and trying new recipes. She loved to garden and tend to her flowers. Mrs. Busick loved and was proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are three daughters, Trudy Busick Early and husband Cabell of Gibsonville, Mickey Busick Sloan and husband Jimmy and Renee Busick Troxler and husband Kenneth, all of Browns Summit; a sister, Irma Daniels of Burlington; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Busick was preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Evans and two brothers, Connie Vincent and Garner Vincent.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, July 17, at Apple's Chapel Christian Church with the Rev. Allen Myers and Dr. Forbis Kivett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will greet friends at a reception following the service. The casket will remain at Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington until taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
