Mr. Hilary Oglee Wyrick

GIBSONVILLE — Mr. Hilary Oglee “H.O.” Wyrick, 95, of 201 N.C. 100, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at Liberty Commons of Alamance after two years of failing health, five days critical.
A native of Guilford County, he was the husband of the late Mrs. Mayme Wyrick Wyrick and the son of Mr. Luther A. Wyrick and Mrs. Mary Smith Wyrick, both deceased. He was a retired employee of Associated Transport. He was a member of Gibsonville
Christian Church where he taught Sunday School classes for many years and was a deacon and a lifetime member of the Board of Trustees.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Rex (Melba) Hicks of McLeansville; a son, Mr. Charles A. Wyrick of Gibsonville; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Mr. J.B. Wyrick; a sister, Mrs. Ada Gerringer; and a brother, Mr. Roy Wyrick.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Gibsonville Christian Church by the Rev. Paul Morton, pastor, the Rev. Jones Oliver, pastor of Faith Christian Church of Christ in Christiansburg, Va., the Rev. Lester Stanley, pastor of Visitation at Apple’s
Chapel Christian Church and the Rev. C. Allen Myers III, pastor of Apple’s Chapel Christian Church. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service.
Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will be at Lowe Funeral Home in Burlington from 6 to 8 this evening.
