Herbert Lindsay Garrison 
    BURLINGTON — Herbert Lindsay Garrison , 84, of 612 N.C. 87 North, died Monday, May 16, 2005, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after four months of failing health. A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Marie Kernodle Garrison  for 67 years, and the son of the late Lindsay  Sidney and Carrie Murray Garrison .
    Mr. Garrison  was a member of Stony Creek Presbyterian Church, was retired from Holt Hosiery and worked for many years at Glen Raven Knitting Mill. He was an avid gardener and loved yard work.
    He is survived by his wife, Marie Kernodle Garrison ; daughters, Iris Garrison  Johnson and her husband, Ronald M., of Burlington, Pamela Garrison  and husband, Ray Starling, of Hawaii; son, Myron Garrison  and wife, Becky, of Madison, N.C.; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; two great-stepgrandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Louise Sutton and Elizabeth Coleman, both of Burlington; brother, Billy Garrison  of Elon. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Lee Barker and Elida Patterson; brothers, Leon Garrison , Murray Garrison , and Clyde Garrison .
    Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 19, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at Stony Creek Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Dave Gilbert. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The visitation will be Wednesday night from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorials may be made to Stony Creek Presbyterian Church, 2140 Stoney Creek Church Road, Burlington, N.C. 27217 and Bethlehem Christian Church, 3625 Altamahaw Church St., Elon, N.C. 27244. 3, Herbert Lindsay Garrison
