Dora Ann Burke Butler
 
 BURLINGTON — Dora Ann Burke Butler, 95, of 3245 Alamance Road, died at 3:23 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014, at the Hospice Home after two weeks of illness.
 
 A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of more than 65 years to the late Dewey B. Butler and the daughter of C.W. “Bunk” Burke and Flora Nicks Burke, both deceased. She was a lifelong member of Alamance Lutheran Church. Along with her husband, she was Founder and Co-Owner of Butler’s Tire Center for over 40 years. Dora was also a bookkeeper for Butler’s Inc.
 
 Dora was a sweet and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by one daughter, Pamelia B. Porterfield and her husband Kenneth R. ; one son, Darryl Grey Butler and his wife Elva all of Burlington; one daughterin-law, Janet Butler; seven grandchildren, David Butler, Patti B. Honeycutt (Michael), Jere Butler, Jr. (Tina), Paige Tisdale, Kenneth Porterfield II, Kevin Porterfield, and Clint Porterfield; and six great-grandchildren. She was a devoted sister to her four brothers, Norman “Spider” Burke, Hilton Burke, Robert Burke and Raymond Burke.
 
 In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Ronald J. Butler, Sr.; her sisters, Alice Sutton, Ethel Langley, Valeria Matherly and Betsy Watkins; and brothers, Carl “Bunk” Burke, Wallace Burke and Hugh “Buck” Burke. She will also be missed by many close friends.
 
 A celebration of Dora’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington with The Reverend James Lockley presiding. The family will receive friends from 12:30- 1:45 p.m. immediately prior to the service. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
 
 The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Hospice Home for their care and support.
