Ronald Jere "Ronnie" Butler Sr.
BURLINGTON — Mr. Ronald Jere "Ronnie" Butler Sr., 65, of 2007 South Mebane Street, Burlington, died suddenly at Duke University Medical Center on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at 6:40 p.m.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Janet Hazelwood Butler , who survives, and the son of the late Dewey Baskem Butler and Dora Ann Burke Butler, who survives.
He was co-owner of Butler’s Inc. and a member of Alamance Lutheran Church.
In addition to the wife of the home and the mother of Burlington, survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Paige Butler Tisdale and husband, Austin, of Burlington; one son, Mr. Ronald Jere Butler Jr. and wife, Tina, of Elon; one sister, Mrs. Pamelia Porterfield and husband, Ken, of Burlington; one brother, Mr. Darryl Grey Butler and wife, Elva, of Burlington; and five grandchildren, Ronald Jere Butler III, Kelly Ann Butler, Kristy Lynn Butler, Karly Renee Butler, and Jonah Miles Tisdale.
The funeral will be conducted at the First Baptist Church of Graham on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at 2 p.m. by Dr. David Kolb, and the Rev. Chris Phelps.
Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church of Graham on Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
