Mrs. Margaret Guthrie Fuquay
BURLINGTON — Mrs. Margaret Guthrie Fuquay, 81, of 1720 S. Mebane St., died at 6:35 a.m. Friday, June 30, 2000, at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill from an automobile accident.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Mr. L. Watus Fuquay and the daughter of Mr. Loy E. Guthrie and Mrs. Daisy Thompson Guthrie, both deceased. She was a retired employee of Burlington Industries and was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Jolete Harviel of Burlington; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mrs. Edith Mogle, Mrs. Gladys Pugh and Mrs. Audrey Moon.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church by the Rev. Richard Stanley. Burial will be in Center United Methodist Church cemetery.
The family will be at Rich and Thompson Funeral Home in Graham from 3 to 5 this afternoon.
