GRAHAM — Mrs. Audrey Guthrie Moon, 78, of 1247 S. Main St., died Tuesday, June 27, 2000, at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill as a result of an automobile accident.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Mr. J. Vernon Moon and the daughter of Mr. Loy E. Guthrie and Mrs. Daisy Thompson Guthrie, both deceased. She was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church and the North Carolina Association of Educators. She was a retired teacher for Alamance County Schools with 30 years of service.
Survivors include a son, Mr. John V. Moon of Mebane; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Fuquay of Burlington; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Pugh and Mrs. Edith Mogle.
The funeral will be conducted at 5 p.m. Friday at Rich and Thompson Chapel in Graham by the Rev. Norman M. Whitney Sr., pastor of Bethany Presbyterian Church.
Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park
(Note Burial is at Graham, NC Memorial Park).
The family will be at Rich and Thompson Funeral Home in Graham from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times at the home.
