HAW RIVER - Nancy Lou Perkins Odell born March 6, 1941 went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Nancy was retired from AO Smith Electrical Products Company in Mebane and enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved taking trips to the mountains and making “Happy Tracks”. Most of all She loved Jesus Christ and would share the message of his love with everyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. Perkins and Sarah Smithy Perkins, four brothers, Raymond, Floyd, James and Roy Perkins.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years Henry Marshall Odell. Daughters, Elisa Capps, Wanda Shue (Dean), Sherri Miller (Mike), Kay Wright (Shane) and Amy Staley. 13 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren and one on the way. Brothers, Ralph and J.C. Perkins. Sisters, Sadie Lynch and Rachel Lewis.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 27, 2018 in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham, Officiating will be the Reverend Rick Webster. Burial will follow in Graham Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service.
The family would like to thank Hospice staff member, Mitzi Church, for her compassion and care shown to Nancy during her illness.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill rd., Burlington, 27215.
