Jimmie "JC" Perkins

Jimmie Coy “JC” Perkins, 74, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, August 5, 2022.  He was born in Rockingham County to the late James William and Sarah Ann Smithey Perkins and was married for 54 years to Jean Smith Perkins who survives. 
JC worked at Copland Fabrics for over 43 years and was a member of Breakthrough Community Church in Mebane.  He was a farmer and loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Smith Perkins; children, Jimmy Journigan (Belinda), Melville Journigan, Connie Rominger (Mike), Faye Smith (Tripp), Jeremy Journigan (Jennifer), Dane Journigan and Kennady Crisp; seven grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and two sisters.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and five brothers.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Bishop Aaron Powers with interment to follow in Alamance Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.  The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to the nurses and staff with AuthoraCare.
