Dorothy Boone Smith Ellington
   BURLINGTON — Mrs. Dorothy Boone Smith Ellington, 89, passed away at 7:08 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2013 at Liberty Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

   She is survived by daughters, Dorothy Bona of Honolulu, Hawaii and Patricia Lee and husband John, of Snow Camp; eight grandchildren; fi ve stepgrandchildren; many greatgrandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Brenda Ellington of Mebane.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Bertha Boone; son, Robert Ellington; and sister, Margaret Boone Small.

   A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 10, at 11 a.m. at Brightwood Christian Church cemetery, 300 Brightwood Church Road, Gibsonville. Offi ciating will be Ernest Boone.

   In lieu of fl owers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association National Capital Area Chapter, 3701 Pender Drive, Suite 400, Fairfax, Va. 22030 or to a charity of your choice.
