GRAHAM — Robert Glenn Ellington , 48, of 2548 Alson White Road, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005, at Grandview Medical Center in Jasper, Tenn.
A native of Guilford County, he was the husband of Brenda Childress Ellington , who survives, and the son of Dorothy Boone Ellington , who survives, and the late Douglas Leo Ellington . He was a truck driver for McKee Foods and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors other than his wife of the home and his mother of Burlington include five stepdaughters, Debra Michelle Murray of Newport News, Va., Amanda Mihaly and Nicki Howell, both of Graham, Allison Moore of Beaumont, Texas, and Darci Howell of the home; five grandchildren; four sisters, Patricia (Henry) Lee of Snow Camp, Dorothy Louise Bona of Honolulu, Hawaii, June Hicks of Eden, and Janine Snow of Petersburg, Va.; and a brother, Douglas Ellington Jr. of Virginia Beach, Va.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by Chaplain Jackie Allen of the Alamance Cancer Center. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times at the residence.
