Ronald  D. "Ronnie" McIntyre 


    BURLINGTON — Mr. Ronald  D. "Ronnie" McIntyre , 73, of 2314 Woodridge Road, Burlington, died at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, June 13, 2006, following several years of declining health.
    A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Arlene Stafford McIntyre , and the son of Joseph H. McIntyre  and Annie Gerringer McIntyre , both deceased. He was a graduate of Burlington High School and Elon College. He retired from Auto Parts and Electric. He was a member of the First Christian United Church of Christ, where he was a deacon.
    Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Sharon M. Hammill and husband, Mike, of Burlington; one son, Mr. R. Doug McIntyre  Jr. and wife, Mary, of Burlington; one sister, Mrs. Joan Jordan of Burlington; one brother, Ret. Col. James H. "Jim" McIntyre  of Camden, S.C.; and seven grandchildren, Ron Ingalls, Keith Ingalls and wife, Laura, Scott Ingalls, Tripp McIntyre , Lauren McIntyre , Brent McIntyre , and Tanner McIntyre .
    The funeral will be conducted at the First Christian United Church of Christ on Friday, June 16, 2006 at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Mark Nanney. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
    The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m., and at other times they will be at the residence.
    Memorials may be made to the John Graves Fund, at the First Christian United Church of Christ, 415 South Church Street, Burlington, N.C. 27215 or to the American Heart Association, Memorial Processing Center, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, Va. 23058-5216.
