Allen E. “Whip” Wilson Sr.
   LEXINGTON, S.C. — Mr. Allen E. “Whip” Wilson Sr., 90, of 5422 Augusta Road, Lexington, S.C., died at Agape Hospice in Columbia, S.C. Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 8:45 p.m.

   A native of Alamance County, N.C., he was the husband of the late Dorothy Lynette Mills Wilson and the son of Robert Luther Wilson and Helen Hughes Smith Wilson, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Western Electric. He attended Front Street United Methodist Church.

   Survivors include sons, Allen “Gene” Wilson Jr. of Lexington, S.C. and Ron Wilson of Lake City, Fla.; daughter, Ann Pullara of Greensboro; stepsons, Dexter Covington of Mebane and Bill Covington of Graham; stepdaughter, Shelia Covington of Whitsett; sister, Nina Patterson of Burlington ; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

   He was preceded in death by stepdaughter, Marla Jones; brother, Howard Wilson ; and sister, Rita Wilson.

   A graveside service will be conducted at Pine Hill Cemetery on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Howard Thompson.

   Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington is in charge of arrangements.
