Mrs. Dorothy Lynette Wilson

BURLINGTON — Mrs. Dorothy Lynette Wilson, 76, of 404 Bland Blvd. died at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2003, atAlamance Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

A native of Alta Vista, Va., she was the wife of Mr. Allen Eugene Wilson, who survives, and the daughter of the late William Edward Mills and Sallie Ann Johnson Mills. She was retired from Western Electric and was a former member of Glen Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors other than her husband of the home include three sons, Mr. Allen “Gene” Wilson Jr. and wife, Karen, of Lexington, S.C., Mr. Dexter Covington and wife, Jan, of Mebane, and Mr. William “Bill” Covington and wife, Suzy, of Graham; two daughters, Mrs. Shelia Whitington and husband, Jerry, of Greensboro, and Mrs. Marla Jones and husband, Larry, of Chapel Hill; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Kathryn Ann Pullara and husband, Tom, of Greensboro; a stepson, Mr. Ronald L. Wilson and wife, Kathy, of Lake City, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Vesta Bristow of Graham and Mrs. Irene Jarrett of Mebane; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Lillie Walker; and two brothers, Mr. Ottwell Mills and Mr. Forrest Mills.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington by the Rev. John Shields. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.

The family will be at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6 to 8 this evening.3, Mrs. Dorothy Lynette Wilson
