Mrs. Ethel Sutton McPherson
SNOW CAMP — Mrs. Ethel Sutton McPherson, 74, of 7605 Beale
Road, died at 5:35 a.m. Sunday, May 12, 2002, at Alamance Regional
Medical Center after one year of failing health and four days of critical
illness.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of Carl and Nora
Price Sutton, both deceased, and the wife of F.C. McPherson, who
survives. She was self-employed with McPherson Farms in Snow
Camp and was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church.
Survivors other than her husband of the home include a daughter, Mrs.
Frankie McPherson Brown and husband James of Clayton; four
grandchildren, Eric McPherson of the home, Brooke McPherson of
Snow Camp, Detria Brown Blount and husband Raymond of Clayton,
and J. Clay Brown of Clayton; three great-grandchildren, Jenee Blount,
Brittany Blount and Alex Blount, all of Clayton; two sisters, Ruth Rich of
Burlington and Myrtle Walker of Burlington; and a brother, Frank
Sutton of Jacksonville, Fla.
She was preceded in death by a son, Clinton Eric McPherson; a
granddaughter, Jenee Brown; two brothers; and a sister.
The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Friendship
United Methodist Church by the Rev. Alvin M. Horne, pastor. Burial will
be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham
from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening, and at other times at the home.
