    GRAHAM — Mrs. Eva Simmons Coble, 88, of 4570 Thompson Mill Road, Graham, died at her residence on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 2:38 p.m. following eight months of declining health.
    A native of Caswell County, she was the wife of the late James Gray Coble and the daughter of John D. Simmons and Mamie Miles Simmons, both deceased. She retired from Southern Alamance High School as cafeteria manager. Eva was a member of Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church and was a member of Circle #1 since 1948 and served as treasurer for over 30 years.
    Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Lynn Coble and wife Mary Jane of Danville, Va. and Larry Dean Coble and wife Elizabeth of Graham; two sisters, Sue Brooks and Doris S. Simpson and husband H.H. of Burlington; two sistersin-law, Naomi Simmons and Margaret Simmons, both of Elon; four grandchildren, Jessica Coble Russell of Graham, Heather Coble Foskey and husband Paul of Chesapeake, Va., Jason Coble of Raleigh and Erica Coble Flinchum and husband Justin of Julian; and six great-grandchildren, Gray Ansley Russell and Asa Robinson Russell, both of Graham, Larry Brooks Flinchum and Baydyn Jackson Flinchum, both of Julian; and Camden Mae Foskey and Austin Michael Foskey, both of Chesapeake, Va.
    She was preceded in death by her siblings, Myrtle S. Allred, Edgar Simmons, Doake Simmons, Claude Simmons and Earl Simmons.
    The funeral service will be conducted at Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. JimmyWooten. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
    The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. At other times they will be at the residence.
    Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
    The family would like to extend a special thanks for the loving care given by Renay Dick, Sheila Worth, Hazel Harrelson, Wanda Clegg, Ashley Lee, Paulette Minor, Evelyn Corbett and Hospice caregivers, Phoebe Cole and Loudelle King.
