Mr. Henry H. Simpson Jr.


    BURLINGTON — Mr. Henry H. Simpson Jr., 84, of Sutton Place, died Sunday, August 12, 2012, in Burlington.
    A native of Alamance County, Mr. Simpson was the son of the late Dr. Henry Hardy Simpson and the late Nettie Hemphill Simpson.
    Mr. Simpson loved spending time with his family on his farm in Caswell County.
    Mr. Simpson is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Doris Simmons Simpson, of the home; his daughter, Rhonda S. Youngdahl and her husband, David, of Greensboro; his grandson, Bradley Simpson Youngdahl, who was his pride and joy; brothers, William F. Simpson and his wife, Mary, of Reidsville and Dr. Richard B. Simpson and his wife, Tandy, of Gallipolis, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.
    In addition to his parents, Mr. Simpson was preceded in death by an infant brother, Bobby Simpson; and a sister, Carol Simpson Nichols.
    A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 15, at 11 a.m. at the Rich and Thompson
Chapel in Burlington. Officiating will be the Rev. Bland Leebrick Jr.
    The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Rich and Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington. Other times they will be at the residence.
    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
