Mr. Harry Alton Howard 
    GRAHAM — Mr. Harry Alton Howard , 84, of 2132 S. Main St., died at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2005, at Burlington Manor Discovery Place after several years of declining health.
    A native of Pittsylvania Va., he was the husband of Mrs. Ardith Koranda "Ardy" Howard , who survives, and the son of the late Robert Bruce Howard  and Linnie Slaughter Howard . He was the retired owner of a cabinet making business, and was a member of Hocutt Memorial Baptist Church, and the Hines Sunday school class. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II.
    Survivors other than his wife of the home include two daughters, Mrs. Janeen Howard  Padavich and husband, Bobby, of Wilmington and Mrs. Ann Howard  Revels and husband, Clinton of Graham; a sister, Mrs. Ethel H. Hunter of Burlington; a brother, Mr. Bill Howard  and wife, Ethel, of Haw River; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one stepgrandson.
    He was preceded in death by twin infant daughters; two sisters; four brothers; and one great-grandson.
    The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2005, at Hocutt Memorial Baptist Church by the Rev. Jimmy Nickelston. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
    The family will be at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, and at other times at the residence.
