Ardith K. “Ardy” Howard
   WILMINGTON — Mrs. Ardith K. “Ardy” Howard, 88, of 4909 Indian Trail, Wilmington, died at her residence on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013.

   A native of Lesterville, S.D., she was the wife of the late Harry Alton Howard and the daughter of James Koranda and Helen Michalek Koranda, both deceased.

   She retired from Burlington Industries. Ardy was a former member of Hocutt Memorial Baptist Church and presently a member of Masonboro Baptist Church in Wilmington, where she was a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class.

   Survivors include two daughters, Janeen Howard Padavich and husband Bobby of Wilmington and Ann Howard Revels of Graham; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

   She was preceded in death by two infant twin daughters; one great-grandson; one brother; and one sister.

   The funeral service will be conducted in the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Jimmy Nickelston and Dr. Gordon Wright. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.

   The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. At other times they will be at the residence of a daughter, Ann Revels, 1848 Swepsonville Road, Graham, N.C.

   Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215, Masonboro Baptist Church Building Fund, 1501 Beasley Road, Wilmington, NC 28409, or to New Hope Baptist Church Building Fund, 1525 Flora Avenue, Burlington, NC 27217.
