Norma “Tommie” Crutchfield
 

 BURLINGTON — Mrs. Norma “Tommie” Crutchfield, 90, of Burlington, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, at The Oaks of Alamance.
 
 A native of Wayne County, Mrs. Crutchfield was the wife of the late John U. Crutchfield and the daughter of the late Raymond K. Jernigan and the late Annie Lou Jordan Jernigan.
 
 Mrs. Crutchfield retired from Belk-Beck after 27 years of service and was a former member of the American Business Women’s Association.
 
 She was a member of Life’s Journey United Church of Christ, formerly St. John’s New Mission United Church of Christ, where she previously served as the assistant treasurer.
 
 Mrs. Crutchfield is survived by two daughters, Denise C. Morton (Bobby), of Burlington and Donna C. Carroll (Keith W.) of Gibsonville; a son, John U. Crutchfield Jr., (Pam), of Huntersville; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a sister, Edna Kerner, of Sterling Heights, Mich.
 
 In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Norma C. Mallard and a brother, R.K. Jernigan.
 
 A funeral service will be held Sunday, Dec.14, 2014, at 3 p.m. in the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington. Officiating will be the Rev. Phil Hardy. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
 
 The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service. At other times the family will be at the residence of her daughter, Donna, 501 Spence Ave., Gibsonville.
 
 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Life’s Journey United Church of Christ, 1908 S. Mebane Street Burlington, NC 27215 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
