Mrs. Bronna Walker Summers

ELON — Mrs. Bronna Walker Summers, 88, of Twin Lakes Center died Thursday, August 14, 2003, following two years of failing health. She was the wife to the late George Woodrow Summers and the daughter to the late John Phillip and Lucy W. Walker. A native of Caswell County, she was retired from the Alamance-Burlington School System as an elementary school teacher. She was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church and a former Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Josephine Walker of Burlington; brother-in-law, Roy G. Summers of Gibsonville; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Ola Miles, Margaret Wilson, Lucy May Walker and an infant girl; brothers, Maurice Walker, Sr., John “Doc” Walker and Irvin S. Walker.
The funeral will be held 11 A.M. Saturday, August 16, 2003 at Friedens Lutheran Church by Rev. Kristina Johnson. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Friday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.3, Mrs. Bronna Walker Summers
