Mrs. Lois Clark Barber
BURLINGTON — Mrs. Lois Clark Barber, 89, a resident of The Oaks in Elon, died on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at the Hospice Home in Burlington.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late George Alfred Barber and the daughter of John
W. Clark and Lucy Ellington Clark, both deceased. She retired after 64 years from Dixie Belle Textiles and was a member of Frieden’s Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Keith Clark and wife Barbara of Burlington and James W. “Jimmy” Clark and wife Fannie of Burlington; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, George Wayne Barber; two brothers, R.H. Jack Clark and Joseph “Joe” Donnell Clark; half brothers and sisters, W.V. Clark, Coy N. Clark, Ruby Clark Boone, Vera M. Clark McLendon, Ruth Clark Porterfield, Mildred Clark Albright, Vernon Smith, Wesley M. Smith, and Ann Smith Kerzner.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2015, at the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington. Burial will follow at Frieden’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service at the Rich and Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington.
