For nearly sixty years he was a faithful laborer and / successful minister and evangelist of the Lord Jesus Christ. /
He was founder of the Greensboro Church and its first preacher / for some twenty years. In the County of Guilford he spent / the last forty years of his life.
He came to his grave beloved and revered / in a full age as a sheaf of corn in its season and in the mature and / blessed hope and assurance of the resurrection of the body and life everlasting.
