Hampton R. Poole
BURLINGTON — Hampton Rochelle Poole, 77, of Homeplace of
Burlington, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at Alamance Regional
Medical Center.
A native of Randolph County, he retired from Holt Hosiery Co., where
he worked as comptroller; and as a Certified Public Accountant and
was a member of the North Carolina Certified Public Accountants. He
held the positions of president and treasurer of the Cherokee Boy
Scout Council, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Graham,
and a Civitan. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife Ethel Craven Poole of Burlington; a son,
Hampton R. Poole Jr. of Wilson; and two daughters, Debra Parker of
Burlington and Rebecca Radvak of Smyrna, Ga.; and five
grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist
Church of Franklinville by the Rev. Steve Cox. Burial will be in the
church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Loflin Funeral Home in Ramseur from
7 to 9 this evening, and at other times at the home of his daughter,
Debra Parker, 1719 Erwin Ave., Burlington.
