BURLINGTON — Ethel Craven Poole, 74, of Burlington, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2003, at White Oak Manor in Burlington.
She was a Randolph County native, a retired real estate agent, and a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Hampton Rochelle Poole and also by her parents, the late Daniel N. and Evelyn Gray Craven.
Survivors include a sister, Edna Craven Freeman of Asheboro; and a brother, Floyd Craven of High Point.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Concord United Methodist Church by the Rev. Fran Adams. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to: Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery, Perpetual Trust Fund, 5595 NC Highway 22/42, Ramseur, N.C. 27316.

BURLINGTON — Hampton Rochelle Poole, 77, of Homeplace of
Burlington, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at Alamance Regional
Medical Center.
A native of Randolph County, he retired from Holt Hosiery Co., where
he worked as comptroller; and as a Certified Public Accountant and
was a member of the North Carolina Certified Public Accountants. He
held the positions of president and treasurer of the Cherokee Boy
Scout Council, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Graham,
and a Civitan. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife Ethel Craven Poole of Burlington; a son,
Hampton R. Poole Jr. of Wilson; and two daughters, Debra Parker of
Burlington and Rebecca Radvak of Smyrna, Ga.; and five
grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist
Church of Franklinville by the Rev. Steve Cox. Burial will be in the
church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Loflin Funeral Home in Ramseur from
7 to 9 this evening, and at other times at the home of his daughter,
Debra Parker, 1719 Erwin Ave., Burlington. [15524]
