    SAXAPAHAW — Coy  Everett Roten , 73, of 2552 Saxapahaw-Bethlehem Church Road, died at 5:46 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

    He was the husband of the late Mildred Skenes Roten , and the son of the late Taft and Verna Roten . He was a member of Vickers Memorial Baptist Church, and was in charge of the maintenance at the church.

    Survivors include daughters, Joane Roten  Louill of Ennice, N.C., Martha Roten  Hege and husband, Richard, of Winston-Salem, N.C., Bonnie Norman and husband, Ronald, of Kernersville, N.C., Jean McDavid of High Point, N.C., Mandy Clayton and husband, Randy, of Walkertown, N.C., and Barbara Davis and husband, Joe, of Elon, N.C.; sons, Tony A. Roten  and fiancée, Rhonda Hodge, of Whitsett, N.C., Randy Roten  of the home, Ricky Overman and wife, Sherry, of Snow Camp, N.C., Bo Overman of Snow Camp, and Charlie Overman and wife, Stephanie, of Gibsonville, N.C.; brothers and sisters, Claude Roten  of Winston-Salem, N.C., Jerry and Libby Roten  of Sparta, N.C., Betty and Rick Norman of Galax, Va., Lucille Hardee of Conway, N.C., Geneva and Ray Shortt of Kernersville, N.C., Robert and Bonnie Roten  of Ennice, N.C., Bobby and Alace Roten  of Ennice, Pauline Johnson of Ennice, Mary Church of Wilkesboro, N.C., Russell and Sally Roten  of Snow Camp, and Roger Roten  of Gillett, Wyoming.

    The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 25, 2006, at Vickers Memorial Baptist Church by the Rev. John Skenes, and the Rev. Bill Skenes. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

    Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, June 24, 2006, at Vickers Memorial Baptist Church. Viewing willl begin at 3 p.m. today at the church.

    The family will receive friends at other times at the residence of the Rev. John Skenes, 2241 Lee Drive, Burlington.
    Memorials may be made to Vickers Memorial Baptist Church. Call 227-3754 if you wish to do so.

    McClure Funeral Service in Graham is in charge of arrangements.
