Willa Jean Webster
BURLINGTON — Willa Jean Boswell Webster, age 78, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 12, 2012, surroundedbyherfamily.Shewas a native of Alamance County and the wife of the late James Edward “Eddie” Webster.
Willa Jean was a homemaker and longtime member of Altamahaw Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School in the Mothers’ Class #204, served as the Vacation Bible School director and sang in the choir for many years. She enjoyed baking cakes for her family and friends and served the Lord in her church and community. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include her daughters, Norma Graves and her husband, Garry, of Burlington, Sherry Parker and her husband, Daniel, of Browns Summit; son, Randy Webster and his wife, Faye, of Burlington; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy Bowell, of Burlington, and Loretta Madren and her husband, Daniel, also of Burlington; and a brother, William Boswell and his wife, Lois, of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Jimmy Webster; greatgrandson, David Nale; parents, Aubrey Brooks and Nancy Hensely Boswell; and brothers, Jimmy and Raymond Boswell.
A service to celebrate her life will be held Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at 4 p.m. at Altamahaw Baptist Church by Dr. Steve Tucker, and the burial will follow at Kerrs Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Monday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
