James E. Webster
BURLINGTON — Mr. James Edward “Eddie” Webster, 71, of 2253 Basin Creek Road, died 8:45 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2002, at his home after five years of failing health, two weeks of critical illness. A native of Caswell County, he was the husband of Mrs. Willa Jean Boswell Webster, who survives, and the son of John Edgar Webster and Naaomi Pulliam Webster, both deceased. He was retired from Miller Canning. He was a member of Altamahaw Baptist Church and Teamsters Union 391.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include two daughters and sons-in-law, Norma and Garry Graves of Burlington and Sherry and Daniel Parker of Browns Summit; a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Faye Webster of Burlington; two sisters, Mrs. Janie Carver of Mebane and Mrs. Sadie Stokes of Burlington; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Aaron and Ann Webster of Reidsville and Frank and Tina Webster of Alamance; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son, James Edward “Jimmy” Webster; and a brother, Grover Webster.
The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Monday at Altamahaw Baptist Church by the Rev. Walter E. Jones Jr., pastor, and the Rev. Felton Massey. Burial will be in Kerr’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will be at McClure Funeral Home in Burlington this evening from 6 to 8, and at other times at the home. Viewing will begin after 2 p.m. today.
