William Lawson “W.L.” Williams
 

 
 BURLINGTON — William Lawson “W.L.” Williams, 79, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
 
 He was born Jan. 5, 1936, to the late Bennie Ruffin and Martha Ann Robertson Williams and was the husband of 56 years to Shirley Ann Smith Williams, of the home.
 
 W.L. was a member of Landmark Baptist Church for 55 years and retired from Southeastern Industries after 43 years of service. He was well liked and was a friend to many. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and will be greatly missed.
 
 He is survived by his wife, Shirley Williams, of the home; daughter, Leanne Toney of Burlington; sons, Timothy Dale Williams of Burlington and Terry Robin Williams of Statesville; grandchildren, Rae-Lynn Reinbolt, Shawn Adam Williams Sr., Jennifer Williams Phillips, Jessie Wayne Barnes, Laura Marie Barnes, Jason Curtis Ayers, Tiffany Danielle Burns and Cassidy Williams; 12 great- grandchildren; sister, Beatrice Marie Janey and husband Larry; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Barnes; brother-inlaw, J.C. Smith and wife Ann; two special nieces, Angela Laxton and husband Gary and Amy Handy and husband Donald; and three special nephews, Bennie Clifford Williams and wife Lisa, Sammy Williams and wife Romona and Andy Williams and wife Donna.
 
 He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Raymond Curtis Barnes; and brothers, Bennie Cummings Williams and Joseph Walker.
 
 A service to celebrate his life will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Mark Wilson and the Rev. Larry Janey.
 
 The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, 2015, at Lowe Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
 
 Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
