Charlie “Buster” Isley
GIBSONVILLE — Charlie “Buster” Isley, 78, of 6553 Bethel Church Road, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2003 after 2 years declining health and one week critical illness.
He was born in Gibsonville, son of the late Joseph Carr Isley and the late Mattie Greeson Isley. He celebrated 52 years of marriage on February 16th to Oretha Hobgood Isley who survives. He owned and operated Isley’s Fuel Service in Gibsonville and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of the home, daughters, Lynn I. McGee and her husband Jerry of McLeansville and Tammy I. Haith and her husband David, Jr. of Mebane; a son, Randy J. Isley, Sr. and his wife Bonnie of Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Randy J. Isley, Jr., Kristie J. Isley, Phillip G. Isley, Wesley T. McGee and Sara H. Smith; and great-grandchildren, Corbin Smith and Daylin Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 siblings. The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Delton Agnor. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 this evening at the funeral home and other times at the home.
