Bertha Rice Webster 

(April 2, 1920 - November 14, 2017) 

Bertha Webster, 97, passed away on November 14, 2017 at the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields.

She was a member of Hawfields Presbyterian Church and retired from McEwen Hosiery Mills where she worked as a seamer. She was also a former employee of Jean’s Fabrics and Hawfields Child Care.

Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Wheeley (James) of Cary, Betsy Shambley (Late Wayne Shambley) of Haw River, sons; Clyde Webster (Gail) of Mebane, Stanley Webster (Lauralee) of Erwin, TN., four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph William Webster, parents; John and Ada Simmons Rice, three sisters and four brothers.

The family will receive friends on Thursday November 16, 2017 from 5-7 at McClure Funeral Service in Mebane. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday November 17, 2017 at Hawfields Presbyterian Church with Pastor David Ealy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields 2502 South NC 119 Mebane, NC 27302. 3, Bertha Rice Webster
