Obituary Online notes for Ola Mae HOPKINS
Ola Mae Hopkins Shepherd, 77, passed away Sunday at her home surrounded by her family after several years of failing health. She was the wife of George F. Shepherd and was born October 2, 1936 in Rockingham County, NC to the late Charlie Green and Cleo Walker Hopkins. Ola Mae enjoyed spending time outdoors in her garden tending her flowers and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge 685. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband of the home, a son Frank Shepherd and his wife Tennie of Pleasant Garden, a grandson Robert Shepherd and a brother Clarence Hopkins and his wife Ann of Greensboro. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Virginia Wall, Lucille Vernon and a brother Charles L. Hopkins.
The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
