Raymond Clovis Huskey
BURLINGTON — Raymond Clovis Huskey, 65, of 711 Elmira St., died Friday, September 5, 2003, at his residence after an eight-month illness.
He was born in Rockingham County son of the late Arthur Richard Huskey and Lottie Walker Huskey and was married to Dorothy Luna Huskey, who survives.
He was a self-employed carpenter, a member of Riverview Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife of the home; daughters, Sheryl Porter and her husband, Ricky of Pelham, Carol Overman and her husband, Chris of Burlington and Tarah Huskey of the home; son, Ray Huskey and his wife, Michelle of Graham; grandchildren, Alicia Stackhouse, Taylor Huskey, Nicki Porter, Kaelyn Overman and Damon Huskey; stepgrandchildren, Ricky Porter, Jr., Camie Williams, Casey Knight and Brooke Knight; sister, Gracie Smithey of Reidsville; sisters-in-law, Pauline Huskey of Burlington and Evelyn Fuller of Roxboro; brother-in-law, Ernie Finley of Burlington; and loving pet, Snuggles.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Hubert Clemmons. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
