BURLINGTON — Mrs. Dorothy Gayle Luna Huskey, 66, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016, at Select Specialty Hospital after an illness of several weeks.
Born in Bartow, FL, she was the daughter of the late Audubon Lee “Jack” Luna and the late Dorothy Jean Davis Luna and was married to the late Raymond Clovis Huskey, who passed in 2003. She was a career homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Huskey is survived by three daughters, Sheryl Porter and husband Ricky of Pelham, NC, Carol Huskey and Tarah Huskey-Moore, both of Burlington; son, Ray Huskey of Burlington; five grandchildren, Nicki Porter, Kaelyn Overman, Alicia Toney, Taylor Huskey and Damon Huskey; eight great-grandchildren; four sisters, Evelyn Fuller, Susie Turner, Tammy Thompson and Janice Arnold, all of Florida; three brothers, James Finley and Ernie Finley of Arkansas and Larry Luna of Florida; stepmother, Sarah Toni Luna of Florida; and her beloved pet,Puddin’.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Friday prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at the residence.
