Ava Michael Riley, 91, of Greensboro, died Thursday, March 23, 2023 at the Hospice Home at High Point.
Memorial service will be 2:00 PM Monday, March 27, 2023 at George Brothers Funeral Service. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Ava was a native of Guilford County. Ava worked at Fellowship Hall until retirement when she moved to Emerald Isle with her husband in 1992 where they resided for the next twenty-eight years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Riley; brothers, Lonnie, Glenn, Fred and Worth Michael; and sisters, Ruby McKeithan, Mozelle Mitchell, Hazel Edmonds, Edna Tippett and Nancy Roberts.
She is survived by daughters, Kathy C. Miller (Terry) of Greensboro, Dawn C. Johnson (Tony) of Todd, NC, and Patty C. Triche (Barry Parrish) of Colfax; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Countryside Manor Village and to the Hospice Home at High Point for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
