Betty Lynn Gross Saunders
 

 ELON - Betty Lynn Gross Saunders, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 30, 2016 at ARMC.
 
 She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of the late Roy Saunders and daughter of the late Roy Linville and Sally Myrtle Rudd Gross.
 
 Betty retired from Alamance Community College and was a member of Lakeview Community Church. She enjoyed going to the beach, gardening and spending time with her family.
 
 She is survived by her son, Jeff Saunders and wife, Laura; daughters, Deborah Saunders and Vickie Saunders; grandson, Shane Cartner and wife, Nicole and a granddaughter, Casey Fowler and husband, Jordan; three great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Jean Gross; Barbara Saunders, Sara Underwood, Maggie Satterfield, Peggy Pickard, Barbara Ann Thompson and husband, Sam; brothers-in-law, Bobby Saunders and wife, Glenda and Currie Lee Lassiter.
 
 She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, Bill Gross; sisters-in-law, Annie S. Woody and husband, Carl, Louise S. Baker and husband, Jim and Bessie Saunders Lassiter; brothers-in-law, Leonard E. Saunders, Jr., Aubrie Underwood, Junior Satterfield and Jimmy Pickard.
 
 The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Blakey Hall, ARMC and Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
 
 A service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, January 2, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Pine Hill Cemetery by Rev. Gerald Sanders. The family will receive friends from 9:45 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. at Lowe Funeral Home prior to the service and other times at the home of Deborah Saunders in Gibsonville.
 
 Memorials may be made to the Lakeview Community Church Youth Group, 101 Boone Road, Burlington, NC 27217 or Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
