BURLINGTON - Lehi Franklin Stowe, 86, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Hospice Home.
A native of Pittsylvania County, VA, he was the son of the late James Franklin and Zelma Sawyers Stowe and husband of Rebecca Danieley Stowe who survives.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He was the owner of the former Stowe's Texaco and was later employed by Mastercraft Casket Co.
Survivors include his wife Rebecca "Becky" Danieley Stowe of the home; sons, William Barry Stowe and wife Libby of Oak Island and Franklin Sellars Stowe and wife Kathy of Burlington; daughters, Pamela Stowe Evatt and husband Rick of Plano, TX, Carol Clark Doxey and husband Keith of Great Yarmouth, England and Sylvia Clark Williams and husband Donald of Florence, SC; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and his sister, Bonnie Stowe Barber and husband John of Virginia Beach, VA; special sons, Kent,Rick and Vic Sorrell, all of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hilda Ledbetter Stowe; daughter, Cora Clark Lawson; son, Charles Richard Clark and brothers, Melvin, Oriel, Billy and Darryl Stowe and sister, Juanita Stowe Sorrell.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2017 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. David Grinnell and life long friend Zane Hetzel.
The family will receive friends following the funeral service at Lowe Funeral Home. The graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Alamance Memorial Park.
Mr. Stowe will remain at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory through the funeral service on Friday.
