BROWNS SUMMIT
Mrs.. Alean Price Rumley, 84, of 5851 Turner Smith Road, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 1999, at Beverly Health Care in Greensboro after six years of failing health, one year critical.
A native of Guilford County, she was the wife of the late Mr. Richard Manley Rumley and the daughter of Mr. Eli Washington and Mrs.. Peggy Jones Price. S
he was retired from Glen Raven Mills after 24 years of service. She was a member of Apples Chapel Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs.. Betty Lou Maness of Raleigh; four sons, Mr. Donald E. Rumley and Mr. Richard Y. Rumley, both of Browns Summit, Mr. Bobby Rumley of Elon College and Mr. Jack Rumley of Summerfield; two brothers, Mr. Wallace Price of Eden and Mr. Paul Price of Reidsville; 20 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. C. Allen Myers, pastor of Apples Chapel Christian Church, and the Rev. Lester Stanley, associate pastor.
Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park in Greensboro.
The family will be at Lowe Funeral Home from 7 to 8 this evening, and at other times at the home of the son, Mr. Richard Rumley, 5857 Turner Smith Road, Browns Summit.
