Obituary Online notes for Barbara Gray RUMLEY
Barbara Rumley Linville, 70, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at the Guilford County Hospice Home, Beacon Place.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 26, at Forbis and Dick Funeral Service, 1118 North Elm Street, Greensboro, with Pastor Selena Scott officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
Barbara was born in Rockingham County, to the late John LeRoy and Ora Price Rumley. She performed many years of service at Sears and Roebuck before returning home full time to devote her time, talents, and love to build a home for her husband, Jerry, and daughter, Chrystal. Barbara excelled as a wife, mother, and grandmother, and she loved her family beyond measure. She was a member of Glencoe United Methodist Church and was a faithful, enduring servant of her Lord Jesus Christ.
Besides her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her sisters, Charlotte Rumley Bishop and Marion Rumley Wright.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Linville, of the home; daughter, Chrystal Groce and husband, Mark of Kernersville; grandchildren, Mackenzie and Maddie; brother, Games Rumley and wife, Joyce of Raleigh. 470, Barbara Rumley Linville
