Staff Sergeant Saul, Jessie Willard husband of Mrs. Margaret Rumley Saul and son of Mr. and Mrs. R.T. Saul of Altamahaw was killed in action on December 4, 1944.
He had served in the Army since November 1942, but had only been overseas for 4 months at the time of his death.
Memorial services were held at Bethlehem Christian Church in April 1945 for Sgt. Saul.
