JULIAN - Ms. Doris Troxler Rumley, 84, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at her residence.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 20 at Guilford Memorial Park. No visitation is scheduled.

Doris was born in Guilford County on December 27, 1927. She was employed in various jobs, most recently as a caregiver. She enjoyed working in her yard, doing puzzles, crocheting and crafts. Family was important to Doris and she displayed a strong Christian faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Pearl Simpson Troxler; and daughter, Carole Fuqua.

Survivors are her daughters, Jean R. Coble of Garner, Gloria R. Belvin of Julian; sons, Robert Rumley of Julian, David Rumley of Georgia; sister, Frances T. Keogh of Florida; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the caregivers for their mother during her illness.
