Donald Ray “Donnie” Morene
BURLINGTON — Donald Ray “Donnie” Morene, 61, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after a short illness.
He was born Feb. 18, 1954, in Alamance County, to Sarah Frances Huffines Morene, who survives, and the late Henry H. Morene.
Donnie was a member of Wicker Street Baptist Church and he loved everyone and was loved by all who knew him. He had a kind and gentle soul.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Sarah Frances and Edgar Stutts; of the home; sisters, Deborah Morene and Carolyn Morene, both of Burlington and Bernice Newsome and husband Mike of Greensboro.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015, in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Ricky Lewis. Interment
will follow in Bethel Methodist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made Wicker Street Baptist Church, 512 Wicker Street, Burlington, NC 27217.
