Walter Ray Dameron


    BURLINGTON — Walter Ray Dameron, 66, of 3155 Huffines Drive, died at his residence Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at 10:30 a.m.
    He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
    Survivors include his wife, Lala Dameron, of the home; son, Tim Dameron and wife, Angie, of Burlington; daughters, Terri Coleman and husband, Lee, of Burlington, Lisa Apple and husband, Tim, of Haw River; four grandchildren, Leslie Coleman, Amber Coleman, Fletcher Dameron and Crawford Dameron; and siblings, Kenny Dameron, Glenda Greeson, Harold Dameron, Judy Walsh, Aubryn Dameron.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Lee and Edna Foust Dameron; a sister, Doris Laban; and a granddaughter, Stacey Coleman.
    A funeral service will be held at Bethel United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Renee Burnett officiating. Burial will follow the service at the church cemetery.
    The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. and other times at the residence.
    In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance County, 910 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215
    Arrangements are by Mc-Clure Funeral Service of Graham.
