E. Lynn Mooneyham 

    GRAHAM — Mr. E. Lynn Mooneyham , 75, of 1250 Pebble Drive, Graham, died at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at 6:59 a.m. following several years of declining health.
    A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Helen Braswell Mooneyham , who survives, and the son of Harold Ernest Mooneyham  and Rosa Belle Andrews Mooneyham , both deceased. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving during the Korean Conflict. He owned and operated Mooneyham  Electric Company and built race cars. He was a jalopy race car driver in Hillsborough, where he was a wellknown leader in the North State Racing Association point standings received from his many victories. He was an avid golfer. He was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church.
    In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include two daughters, Miss Lisa Mooneyham  of Mebane and Mrs. Amy S. Gilmore and husband, Tommy, of Burlington; one son, Mr. Brian Mooneyham  and wife, Jackie, of Greensboro; two stepsons, Mr. Michael Brown and wife, Elaine, of Apex and Mr. Philip Brown of Los Angeles, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Kalli Gilmore, Meredith Gilmore, Keegan Brown, Andrew Brown, Christopher Wiggs, and Meghan Wiggs and Braden Mooneyham ; and one brother, Mr. Wayne Mooneyham  and wife, Christine, of Burlington.
    He was preceded in death by one son, Mr. Steven Lynn Mooneyham ; and one brother, Mr. Earl Reid Mooneyham .
    The funeral will be conducted at Bethany Presbyterian Church on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Norman Whitney and the Rev. Lamar Mooneyham . Burial will follow in Hawfields Presbyterian Church cemetery.
    The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington on Friday, September 21, 2007 from 6 until 8 p.m., and at other times they will be at the residence.
    Memorials may be made to Bethany Presbyterian Church, 1500 South Main Street, Graham, N.C. 27253; or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
