October 26, 1937 ~ January 24, 2025 (age 87)
Dr. Joel Wyatt Walker, 87, of Graham, NC passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Friday, January 24, 2025.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Phyllis Fitch Walker and the son of the late Joel Teed Walker and the late Mattie Clapp Walker. He was a member of the Graham Rotary Club and a charter member of the First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. After serving in the United States Army Dental Corps he opened his dental practice in Graham and retired from practice after 40 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Joan Carol Walker; sister, Nancy Fogleman; and multiple nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Clara Phillips and Linda Peele, along with his brother, Harvey Walker.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home in Graham on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 am at the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Graham on Friday, February 14, 2024.
